manger closeupFor God so love the world that He sent His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

I’d like to wish you a blessed Christmas. If you are in driving distance, I hope you will join us for Christmas Eve worship at 10am, 3:30pm or 5:30 pm. We have worked to provide a refreshing moment to experience the gift of Jesus as part of your celebration. The Presence of Christ is specially present when we gather as a spiritual family. The focus of this time will be on the deep love He has for us.

There are many wonderful things to experience at Christmas. With all the possibilities this season brings the best one you could experience is incredible love of Jesus. It is more than a story, a moment or a feeling. It is the core of God’s message to humanity. It is the deep gracious care that renews our souls. In fact it is the absence of this kind of love at the core of our low-grade unhappiness with life.

This is where our instinct can hurt us. We sense something is missing and feel there is something else we need to do. What if the thing we most need to do is to stop striving and trust? The whole point of Christmas is that Jesus came to fill the true longings of our souls and overcome the remaining darkness with His loving light.

1John 4:9-10 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Jesus’ love for us is superior to any human love we can find. Jesus loves us deeply, sacrificially, completely, unconditionally. God moves first. He moves the furthest. His love moves in strength and grace before we even acknowledged Him.

Jesus has love for us in our specific problems. He sees Zacchaeus in the crowd. He sees His followers in the market. He sees the lame, blind, sick, hurting, confused. He sees the aimlessness of the crowds. He sees the young man with questions about eternal life and being good enough for God. He sees you. HE LOVES YOU.

When I was 6 I heard and responded to His love in church during a service came to Him. He has never left me. I continue to come to him when I find I have drifted. I keep listening for His voice. I have found His presence to be the most important thing in my life. Since then He has given Comfort in pain, hope in darkness, direction for my confusion, peace in storms and blessing and source of greatest joys.

Jesus sacrifice shows God’s ultimate love for us. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friend. Jesus is God in flesh come to make eternal life possible again through the cross as His display of ultimate love for us.

  • Jesus Sacrificed to come.
  • Jesus Came to sacrifice!
  • Jesus Came because of love!!

I hope you can join us tomorrow to experience His love together. During our time together we will enjoy Christmas songs, Christmas scripture and a quiet moment of reflection on His great love.

If you are in driving distance, I hope you will join us for Christmas Eve worship at 10am, 3:30pm or 5:30 pm.

May His peace anchor your life and love overflow in your heart. Merry Christmas!
