John 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
While Christmas is likely the most universally celebrated holiday on the planet, most people deeply long for it’s fruit without embracing its core. We could wonder if it even matters. Can’t most people celebrate it anyway and even enjoy the unique atmosphere of the season without really embracing its origin anyway? The answer is of course they can. But the celebration will leave them wishing it were deeper and lasted longer. That is impossible without the core. It is impossible without experiencing the true presence of Jesus.
At it’s core Christmas celebrates the reality that Jesus came to earth as God-in-flesh in order to make a way for us to be restored to good relationship with our Creator-Father. He truly is the light in our darkness, the prince of peace, the almighty God and everlasting Father. The problem is that there are so many stories that seek to explain the heart of Christmas that the truth of Jesus gets treated like ancient myth.
How important is the incarnation for those who weren’t there to see it and don’t seem that interested in it now anyway? It is everything. Now a couple thousand years later the challenge is to help others experience it’s reality. It is doable but requires intentionality on the part of those of us who follow Jesus. Just like Jesus came in flesh to show us the Father, He lives in us to help others see Him too.
Here is the core truth. Jesus Came as God in Flesh to Help us Come to Know the Father.
Jesus revealed the reality, character & heart of God in a way we could see. His teaching, miracles, and relationship all demonstrated the heart & purpose of God. They were written to help later generations including us find him as well. We come to God as our father through trusting our lives to this actual Jesus who was born of a virgin and died for our sins. When we trust Him He comes to live in us. That is the key to helping others experience His true presence.
Let Jesus Reveal His Presence Through You by Embracing His Transforming Work in Your Life.
2Corinthians 2:14-15 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the sweet aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. 15 For we are a fragrance of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing;
Jesus Lives in Us to Help Others Come to Know the Father. When Jesus conforms us to His image, we reveal Him to others. His transforming work in our lives should be obvious to those who know us. Our transformation becomes a testimony to the reality of Jesus. Our lives validate the story. When we let this happen and wisely share with others, they can come to experience Him as well. Isn’t that exciting?
BOTTOM LINE: We can Really Come to Know God through Jesus AND Others can Really Come to Know Jesus through Us!

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
