John 10:27-28 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; 28 and I give eternal life to them…
Whether we know it or not, we all follow something in life. What that is might be fuzzy or clear, conscious or subconscious, a person or value system. It might come from inside us or outside us. It could be temporary or long term. But we do follow something.
What we follow shapes who we become, what we experience and where we end up. So who do you follow? That makes it a critical question to answer. It is even more important to know why you follow what you follow and understand the true potential of where it will lead. The reason you follow also makes a difference in the quality of your experience.
What we follow shapes who we become, what we experience and where we end up.
Why Follow Jesus? The rest of this series will wrestle with what it means to follow, what it requires & what it looks like. But for this weekend, we are going to start with “Why.” Why follow Jesus.
I invite you to prepare for the lessons by thinking about your own “why.” Why would someone begin to follow Jesus? Why do you? What difference would the “why” make? Feel free to share you thoughts below as an encouragement to others.
Be sure to join us at either 9:15 or 11:00. Jesus will be there. We have prayed and expect it to be a life giving experience. Your presence will make it even more special.
