Choose Joy- Choose Jesus

colored crossWe had a great Easter weekend of worship. At least two salvations that we know of resulted from out time together. I hope you were able to experience the presence of God in a positive & powerful way.

I invite you to keep it going by joining us this week as we learn more about how to choose joy through the powerful presence of Jesus in our lives.

Here are the main points from last weekends lesson about how Jesus makes a whole new life possible. You can catch the full audio along with a cool personal story at

1John 4:9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him.

Rom. 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

1. Find Real Life through Jesus’ Truth.

John 8:12   Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”

2. Embrace New Life through Jesus’ Forgiveness.

Is. 1:18   “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD, “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool.

John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

1John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

3. Experience Changed Life through Jesus’ presence and work in you.

2Cor. 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

Phil. 1:6 & 13 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus… for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

4. Secure an Unshakable Life through Jesus’ Eternal Hope.

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,

John 5:24   “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.
